03-04-10: Next Takken's Shoes Location Slated to Open August, 2010
Takken's Shoes announced its latest pending addition. The 26th Takken's Shoes location is scheduled to open in The Mall of Victor Valley in Victorville, CA by the end of the summer. The new location will add convenience to Los Angeles Valley residents that are currently out of range of the Palmdale and Lakewood locations. Takken's Shoes will feature a combination of both comfort footwear and juniors fashion shoes.
01-06-10: $28,000 Donated to Breast Cancer Research
Takken's Shoes pledged to donate $5 for every UGG Australia pair sold during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. The tally's are in, and $28,000 has been donated to Breast Cancer Research! We would like to thank the overwhelming help and support from our local store communities.
8-22-09: Company Sloshball and BBQ
Team Takken's took the day off to challenge each other to a very cuthroat game of sloshball and enjoy some great barbeque. More drinks were spilled than consumed, but good times were had all around. The bbq was so well done that not even the rain at the end of the game could disperse the participants.
7-10-09: Company Bowlathon
The team at the corporate office traveled down to the Pismo Beach bowling alley to test their skills. The clearly stacked blue team dominated the day with an impressive showing, and our newest member Claire won the grand prize (an autographed photo of Cris Takken in his affro wig).
5-15-09: Soles4Souls Employee Shoe Drive
Takken's Shoes employee's held a company wide shoe drive for the Soles 4 Souls charity. They collected 2840 shoes! The shoes are being distributed to Soles4Souls approved local charities in each store's community over the next few weeks. Thank you to the employees of Takken's and their friends and family, who made our first shoe drive an outstanding success!
